Wine making

Brut 1er Cru is a blend of wines of different years.  It is aged at least 4 years after bottling, although the legal minimum ageing required is only 15 months.  45% reserve wines are used in the blend ensuring consistency in style year after year.  Brut 1er Cru accounts for 80% of our production, and can be cellared for one or two additional years after shipment.

Tasting

The nose is open and fine, with notes of white Spring flowers, fresh citrus fruit and candied lemon peel.  White fruit such as pear, vine peach and quince.  On the palate, these aromas reveal a good minerality.  A very pleasant salinity, just asking for a second taste.  Excellent ageing potential.
